Taka is built with the smallest possible amount of personal data — the goal is to let you play, not to track you.

What we collect

• Your email address, only if you sign up or join the puzzles newsletter.
• A username and country (optional) when you create a profile, so you can show up on the leaderboard and your matches.
• Game records — moves, opponents, results — needed to score and replay matches.
• Anonymous usage signals (page views, errors, render performance) via a self-hosted analytics tool (Umami) — cookieless, no cross-site tracking — so we can fix what’s broken.

What we don’t

• No third-party ad trackers.
• No selling of any data to anyone, ever.
• No fingerprinting or cross-site identification.

Cookies

Two cookies, both first-party: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a small preferences cookie that remembers your theme. Both are local to taka.online.
